June 3, 2010 - Residence Inn by Marriott London Downtown proudly unveils a brand new look just in time for summer. Managed by Atlific Hotels, the fully renovated hotel introduces a bright, bold, art deco-inspired design complete with vibrant colours throughout.

The renovation at the Residence Inn London was a complete transformation that included a reconfiguration of many of the suites and spaces. Walls were added to create more private spaces and additional bedrooms. The changes were made to truly accommodate the needs of the hotel's short and long term guests.

"So many of our guests stay with us for an extended period so they really look for a space that provides all of the comforts of home," said Anna McNutt, general manager of the property. "We are so proud of the newly designed space, it truly caters to our guests' needs. The feedback thus far has been outstanding."

The new renovation follows the celebration of a number of milestones for the London Residence Inn including its 10th Anniversary in 2009. The Residence Inn also led Marriott Hotels Canada for the highest occupancy for extended-stay visits and the most improved growth in 2008. In 2009, McNutt was named Atlific Hotels General Manager of the Year, while Sales director, Chris Bassoo was named Marriott Direct Sales Leader of the Year among North American Residence Inns.

In order to remain green throughout the renovation process, the Residence Inn London worked with a number of organizations to reuse and recycle the original furniture, appliances, accessories and even the pillows from the old design. In addition, the Residence Inn London installed high-efficiency appliances and lights in all of the suites' kitchens.
